Xavier And Georgetown Primed For Upsets

Mar 16, 2011 10:16 AM

Marquette and USC have more than a 70 percent chance to upset 6th seeds Xavier and Georgetown, according to statistician John Ezekowitz, who works as a consultant for the Phoenix Suns.

Accounting for turnover rates, rebounding rates, and strength of schedule, Ezekowitz’s model is specifically geared towards predicting first round upsets.

Ezekowitz correctly predicted Murray State over Vanderbilt and foresaw St. Mary’s run to the Sweet 16 in last year’s tournament.

Jalen Rose Felt Duke Recruited 'Uncle Toms'

Mar 9, 2011 3:09 PM

Jalen Rose, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson appeared on ESPN’s First Take to discuss the upcoming documentary on the Fab Five that will air on Sunday.

The show featured Rose making some inflammatory comments about Duke.

"For me, Duke was personal. I hated Duke and I hated everything I felt Duke stood for," Rose said in the film. "Schools like Duke didn't recruit players like me. I felt like they only recruited black players that were Uncle Toms."
